Hi,
I wonder if anyone can help? I have Quicktime, Peri, VLC Player, DivX and none of them will play mp4's, AVi's or anything video related. My flash player is up to date and plays youtube videos no problem. I am using Yosemite if that's any help? Files always start to open, says converting and then comes up it can't open.

I'm a bit of a novice so any help would be much appreciated. It's such a pain!!

What does that do?!
I think i'm missing codecs maybe? How to i know what i need? and where do i get the ones i need?

The link I supplied gives you a list of what are called nightly builds, which are newer versions of VLC compiled with new code/bug fixes every night...

Click on one of the ones near the top, and it will download a zip file, which once opened, will decompress into a folder with a newer version of VLC you can use to replace the version you already have.
