videos with isight

hello! i'm kinda new to mac so please bare with me

i just bought a new macbook last monday and i'm lovin' it. i'm having so much fun with this thing that i take it with me everywhere i go and tafke pictures with people via photbooth

i have a couple of questions though. when i tried recording a sample video using my built-in isight (via imovie), the fan turns on, and the noise that's coming from the fan are picked up by the mic....is there anyway to remedy that?

also, why are the quality of my photos taken with photobooth turns out better than the quality of my video taken with imovie...:confused:
