Hi Everyone.. I own an apple watch series 4 with Cellular. My wife and I share our locations with our Iphones.. But When I leave the house with my watch and leave my phone at home she doesn't see the watch when I'm out, only the phone. I went into Find Friends on the watch and invited her again on watch still nothing. Called Apple last night zero help! They told us it cant be done. Its plain to see the watch can also be located if it has cellular plan active and mine does. What are we missing. Any help would be great! Thanks in Advance.

Silly question - you do have a cellular plan etc with the watches?

When you open Find People on your watch, does your wife show up as a friend? What version of Watch OS are you running? Have you tried turning the phone off to see if that will make the watch be the location default? Kinda grasping at straws here, I know.

Only other thing I've got is to call Apple Support again and hope to get someone who knows what they're talking about, and show them the user manual that says a watch with a cellular plan *will* show your location if you leave the phone at home.

my wife doesn’t show up as a friend we both share our locations on the phones. Turned off both phones and the watch still same thing. I’m on iOS 14 she’s in 15 .  support Knows nothing even senior advisor said she can’t track my watch from her phone. when it clearly says you can. thanks for trying

Can you upgrade to iOS 15 on your phone?
