Yesterday, I received my iPhone 8 Plus and I recorded video in 4K60. I upgraded my 5K iMac to High Sierra and toggled the switch to "download and store the original Photos" in Photos. However, the video is way downscaled and even more pixeled than my iPhone 6 footage. I downloaded some clip to iMovie on the iPhone an exported it in 4K (H264). Now it is viewable as 4K30 footage across all devices.
On the other Hand, by exporting the file in Photos on my Mac I receive a HEVC file that I can open in QuickTime and play it back in full-res.

What can I do to see the HEVC footage in Full-Res in Photos (and also on my iPhone, after it was uploaded to iCloud and physical deleted from the device)?
