New to OS X and also MacRumors - I have a vast collection of wallpapers, and I like to see the image resolution next to the file. Is there anyway to display that information in OS X?

You can, but only in icon view.

In Finder, menu bar, View, Show View Options, around the middle is a checkbox for 'Show Item Info'.

- in the Finder within icon view in Show View Options (command+J) select "Show item info"
- in the Get Info (command+I) window dimensions are shown under "More Info"
- open in Preview and image size is shown in the Inspector (command+I)
