Obviously the card reader accessory is only made for the 4/4s and not the iPhone 5.

Is it possible to take the MP4 file from my computer, put it on my iPhone 5, then edit in iMovie?

I've been searching for a video editing program that is simple for awhile now. Windows movie maker on my vista laptop doesn't support mp4. I've tried adobe premiere elements, Magix, and Vegas and they are all too complicated so I thought I'd try this option with iMovie. Thanks.

You mean Apple's CCK? It's iPad only and won't work with the 4/4S, not even when jailbroken. (More info in the CameraConnector review: https://forums.macrumors.com/posts/15991436/ ).

Sure. Synch it via the Camera Roll so that iMovie can access it.

You could consider converting it to WMV first.
