In iOS 18, Reminders says, "View subtasks for a reminder while in your Today, Scheduled, or other Smart Lists."

Is this working for anyone? For me, I'm just seeing a link to view the subtasks which takes you out of the Smart List to the original list holding the subtasks. I was also really hoping we'd be able to see the subtasks in the Calendar View, but it doesn't.

Wondering if anyone else is seeing the subtasks listed, or if we think may Apple just hasn't implemented it yet.

Hi, Using IOS18 - I’ve created a Smart list which includes my Shopping list items and any other reminders having a tag of #Shopping. This allows me to have meal plans with ingredients as subtasks, if I think I’m missing an ingredient I tag it with #Shopping. Then before, if checking what I have already, or during shopping I can reference the smart list to see what I need, which includes any recipe ingredients I’ve marked as possibly needing to purchase.
All works as hoped, so subtasks do appear as normal tasks within the smart reminders list (indicating the source list, where the meal plan is not within my Shopping list). The smart list doesn’t provide a link to the task the subtask relates, just appears as a standalone item. Doing a long-press on the subtask item allows me to edit using the (i) icon.
If I add date (with or without time) to the subtask, the subtask does show within Calendar in the correct ‘time’ slot or ‘all day’.
Hope this helps, M.
[EDIT] Also checked on my ipad running iPadOS 17.5.1 same functionality exists, but obviously Calendar doesn’t display sub/tasks.
