Download Grand Perspective for a visual breakdown of what is taking up space on your HD. It's free.

I used to use Grand Perspective and liked it a lot. I tried "Disk Inventory X" and found I liked it a little more personally but they both do the same thing and are both free. Great little apps!

Another that you can use is WhatSizeMac... it's not free but there is a trial version available. I have used it for a number of years and it's excellent.
