I'm thinking of buying a 24" ACD, but I have one major dilemma - I really want the viewable areas to match up PERFECTLY (it's a huge pet peeve of mine to have the viewable areas mismatched on monitors). I currently have a 24" iMac, so I know I will have to adjust the height of the 24" Cinema Display to match the viewable area of the 24" iMac. So, my question is this - does anyone know if the viewable areas on the 24" iMac and the 24" Cinema Display are the exact same dimensions? I know they are both 1920x1200 but I can't find any mention of the exact measurements.

Any insight would be much appreciated. Thanks!

the viewable area on LCDs is exactly what they say it is. its not something to concern yourself with unless you're purchasing a CRT monitor.

so to answer your question - yes, its the same exact size.
