I am planning on buying the Imac 27 and installing windows 7 so I can preview pages on IE8. Is there a way to do this without uploading the page to the server and using Bootcamp to reboot in windows? If I use Parallels would I need a windows version of dreamweaver to preview the page?

Install MAMP locally and view your files that way. Virtual machines can view it too.

Would I still need windows? Would I be able to view the IE browser locally in OS 10.6
