If memory serves, there was an update a month or so ago, that caused the iPod Touch to read email differently.

I enjoy reading my email (such as G-mail) on the gmail page-- but I heard if you set up the iPod Touch to read mail, it downloads it off the server and removes it from the server, so if you were to then go to the gmail page to view mail, it would not be viewable.

Is it possible to get email for reading on the iPod Touch-- but set it to leave/not delete the downloaded mail on the server so I can view/download it on my main computer?

That works fine with my iPod Touch with my GMail account. FWIW it connects to GMail via IMAP.

Cool--

the absolute last thing I need it to do is download all my gmail and wipe it off the server, lol. It's great to read it on the go, but I don't want to delete it so I cant read elsewhere.
