viewing mbox on iPhone

I used to use "PST Viewer" on my iPhone which was great for viewing your PST database offline (and as a kind of backup). I then switched my PC to using a MacBook and converted my PST over to Mac Mail etc. However, there seems to be no equivalent to PST Viewer for Mac Mail, ie something that lets you load your mbox(es) or emlx files onto the iPhone for offline viewing / browsing. There are many 'file viewer' apps out there, but oddly none let you read an mbox. Any ideas?

What about Mozilla Thunderbird? Is there a Mac version of that?
