Viewing PDFs like a book...? (Computer Arts readers?)

I have a large number of PDF files from the Computer Arts magazine discs which contain entire issues of the magazine from the past. Each issue comes in about 40 separate multi-page pdf files, and i'd like to know if there's an easy way to view these on a mac like a book, rather than having to open files repeatedly to find the right pages.

Is there a way?

You can have multiple files open in Preview.

You can view them in slideshow format, dunno if that would help any.

you could combine the pdf's into one with combinepdf 3.0 from monkeybreadsoftware.de
