I needed to backup videos I did using Photo Booth in 10.10.x. In Finder it stated Photo Booth was taken up 110GB of storage. I copied all the videos I saw in Photo Booth to an external hard drive and then deleted them. After deletion, I noticed Photo Booth was using 90GB.
After right-clicking Photo Booth and selecting Show All Contents I noticed the remaining 90GB was located in a folder called Pictures. After copying them to an external drive I couldn't play from the external drive or the Pictures folder. When I attempt a preview, all I get is QuickTime folder.

Why is it I can't play them?

Thank you for looking.
