Viewing youtube vdeos with IP4

Why is video quality horrible when viewing a youtube video on iphone? On my imac its fairly clear then when I wanna view it on phone, its horrrible.

Because one is an iMac (powerful fully capable computer) and the other is a cell phone. The movies on youtube actually look great and play very well on the iphone compared to most other mobile devices.

These could come in handy:

1. When you are under 3G network, YouTube videos will load faster but with extreme low quality, these are network stuff, now, if you are under Wi-Fi, videos will load fully optimized for iPhone with its beautiful display.

2. Obviously, you can't load videos on the same resolution like a Mac xD

This has to be your first iPhone because the difference between the 3GS and the iPhone 4 when it comes to YouTube quality it's unreal the iPhone 4 quality blows the 3GS away

If you turn HTML5 on in YouTube in safari, you can watch high quality YouTube videos, in the browser, over 3G. And they load awesome fast.

No HQ option on iPhone 4 unlike my Nexus One. what good is a high quality display if you can only watch low quality videos? What was Apple thinking? I agree YouTube on iPhone is horrendous.

Did you read the thread? There is HD video when you're on wifi, just not when you're on the cellular data network. The YouTube video on wifi looks beautiful.

You'll have to wait until the jailbreak is out. Then you can use 3G unrestrictor and watch HQ YouTube all day long over 3G.
