Ok i know this sounds dumb as h*ll...

We all know AT&Ts viewmymessage doesnt work half the time. Well tonight I got an MMS sent to me that I really wanted to see. Of course when I try it I get the wrong id/password error. Ok I try it on another computer, I download Opera and try that, I try Firefox, I clear my cache, I try on my iPhone on wifi, I change the debug menu in safari to IE8.... NOTHING!

I start going through forums looking for anything I can try and come across something that sounds ridiculous. Let me remind you that I really want to see this so I am willing to try stupid sounding ideas. I come across one that says to type in the address www.ViewMyMessage.com/2 instead of www.viewmymessage.com/2. Long story short it worked. I have no idea why, it makes no sense, but it worked and I got to see the picture!

If anyone has any idea why this would work please do share. As far as I can tell I would have been just as well off doing a rain dance around my living room... except I did that and it didnt work but this did!

If you are having trouble viewing an MMS it wouldnt hurt to try this. I would love to hear about it working for someone else.

They bring up the exact same site, but that's from my computer not the iPhone. Have you looked at the actual web address that comes up with each link using the iPhone?

Yep, same here. As I was typing in with the capital letters, Safari was autofilling the rest of the address with lowercase but I just kept typing over it.

Like I said I have no idea why this could work, but it obviously has for at least one person other than me. Makes no sense.

But I did see the picture!

the problem I've seen that most do not, is that you must click the submit button. you cannot press enter as this will always give you the bad id/password error. On the iphone you cannot click go after typing in the info, you must hit done and then scroll down and click the button. Really stupid but you have to do it or it will not work right. Once I discovered this I have not had any errors trying to view messages.

I meant what is different about the site that comes up from your SMS.

Nothing is different. As far as I can tell it took me to the exact same website. The only thing I did different was use capital letters for the words. But I had tried it at least 20 time, then the first time I type it in with caps it works...

Haha lmao! Actually the iPhone is my 3rd phone and my first 2 phones never had Internet so no MMS for me lol. Well until now that I have hacked my iPhone lol.

Believe me I was cursing AT&T for not giving us MMS like the rest of the world as I was trying to get the viewmymessage site to work.
