Viewsonic VX4380-4K and window management

I am planning to buy a 43" 4K display for my Mac Pro 5,1 + 7950 Mac Edition.

Viewsonic is the frontrunner for me, due to its advertised non-PWM flicker-free performance, and its IPS panel optimized toward graphics and photography rather than high-speed gaming.

As a Mac user, what will I lose by not being able to run the company's Windows-only ViewSplit software? Do 3rd-party products do the same thing, or does ViewSplit uniquely interact with the Viewsonic driver in Windows to offer more?

Also, what happens if I connect two cables from the 7950 into the VX4380-4K display? Can I run dual lower/upper virtual 3840x1920 displays, with Main designated as the bottom? If this works, the Apple menu bar will appear in the middle of the panel at better eye level.

Any other advice or caveats for running this Viewsonic on a Mac?

Thanks!

Sky
