Vinegar advice in Sonoma?

I've been using a Safari extension called Vinegar for over a year now, it blocked most of the video ads from EweTube that don't apply to me, and for the most part I've been very happy with it. Last night I upgraded my laptop to Sonoma, then today I noticed that any EweTube videos were appearing in the "standard" format again, with ads. Then I noticed the Vinegar icon (which appears in the odd spot, just left of the top address bar in Safari) had a tiny red spot on it, so I clicked on it:

The first sentence I was okay with, but the second sentence said it could record things like Passwords and "credit cards", and my feeble alarm bell went off.
I'm sorta smart on seeing phishing and other malware warning bells, but I'm also sorta dumb; not sure about this one. What would you do? I like what Vinegar does for my ewetube stuff, but I'm also wary of hacks against smaller companies (I do trust iCloud and my Credit Union, but yeah even those are vulnerable).
Any suggestions? TIA.

My "Wipr" extension (another ad blocker) also suggested an update, which was just a 1/3 red / 2/3 green pie chart, which I did click on, it updated in a few seconds and went away; that may have been a mistake, I have no idea.

Anything that does what Vinegar does is going to be able to all of your network traffic, which includes passwords and credit cards. That was true in Ventura and every version before it. They're just stating the obvious. There isn't any new risk. I allowed Vinegar on every website.
