What do I go about to virginize (Wii homebrew term*) my iPad for the 4.2 update? I have removed all packages except the Cydia Installer and Saurik's Source.

So, updating basically un-jailbreaks your iDevice?

Note:
Virgin: Non-hacked device

You don't really have to do anything... updating will reset the jailbreak.

Backup your apps using Aptbackup on Cydia so you can redownload them once the 4.2. Jailbreak comes out.

Thanks. Wasn't sure about that; don't want an iBrick.

While updating will unjailbreak the device, it can leave traces of jailbreak related filles in the system. If you want a "virgin" device, you should do a restore and set up as new. However, you will lose all app data and settings.

Well I may jailbreak again once a JB is available for iOS 4.2; not too long I suspect. I just want to take advantage of iOS 4.2.

Thanks
