What if you flash a BIOS in your virtual machine and used a wrong BIOS and fails the flash, will it affect your physical machine? I'm using VMware Fusion and will try to update a BIOS with a different kind. Is that something crazy that will happen? I just want to browse a BIOS as reference it doesnt have to work 100 percent just to get an idea how other BIOS look and work.

Is there no software out there that can simply browse the BIOS from a file instead of loading it from the (virtual) GPU? That would seem to be the safest bet, and easier too.

If you do mess up your physical GPU ROM for whatever reason, maybe this article will help get you back:
