I never quite realized how bad virtual keyboards are on iOS for less common languages. For Finnish I have to use Gboard to get even simple autocorrect when on Android most keyboards have Finnish autocorrect. On some it doesn’t work that great because Finnish is more difficult than English in word structure but it’s a real shame that only more common languages are properly supported on iOS default keyboard.
I really prefer the default keyboard for typing on my 12.9 iPP and not being able to use it for my native language is a big minus as Gboard and SwiftKey are not at all optimized for the larger screen size. I really hope Apple fixes this for iOS 12 or at least 3rd parties start optimizing the keyboard layout for the largest iPad.
