Virtual PC and Bootable XP cd

Hey guys/girls,

I am in the process of purchasing Virtual PC (VPC 7) on ebay. My question is can I just purchase the software, and use my XP bootable CD i use for my desktop on the VPC program. This would save me half the price. Or does it work such that only the VPC XP CD is the only version that'll work.

Any insight will be much appreciated.

Also if there's anyone on this forum looking sell their VPC 7, please msg me.

Well first, Is the copy of windows being used on another pc?
If it is then no, you would be breaking the law (and eula), by installing it on a second machine. But if it isn't, you could buy the standalone version of vpc7 and use that disk. Hope that helps.
