Hey, I just ran into a huge problem with my old PPC laptop.

I recently moved to China to start teaching English at a university in Dalian. Unfortunately, the campus internet server requires that you use their VPN client, which is made by the company Digital China. When I asked their rep at the university, he told me flat out that they do not even support Macs. Their program is only available for Windows.

I asked him if I could just get the VPN information and then run it through my Cisco VPN client, but he gave me a lot of bureaucratic backtalk for 20 minutes and then said no. And I could not get any of the info from my roommate's computer either.

So my question is, can I just run Virtual PC or something, download their proprietary client, get online, but continue using all of my Mac applications?

God this is pissing me off.

Also, if anybody wants to see the university's help page in Chinese, it's available here
