Virtual Printer Detection

Hello,

I am developing an application that shouldn't allow printing to virtual printer like PDF printer. FYI I am developing this application in java and apparently there is no API to detect it. With windows I can read the registry and figure what kind of printer it is. So far no luck with Mac.
