I am currently setting up my mac to make web developing as streamlined as possible.
But I am having trouble with virtual servers.
I basically want 'http://127.0.0.1/blog_dose/public_html/' to become 'blogdose.dev' ive read a few articles but i always run into problems. So could someone explain exactly how to do it or even recommend me a good app that would make it easier for me.

Do you want a public domain or a private domain for your exclusive use? If you want a private domain, you can edit your hosts file to associate IP addresses to a domain name. If you want a public domain, you are going to have to register it with a domain registration firm such as GoDaddy.com.
