Apologies if this is not in the right forum: I downloaded virtual box from the oracle website and installed it on my mac mini 2012 model 16gb ram. What I wanted to do was install a mac as a virtual machine, install another as an os x server and use them to study for the exams.
However when I accept the default setup options and kick off the install it fails horribly and returns me to a shell prompt as follows
uefi interactive shell...
mapping table
blko...
blk1...
press exc in 0 seconds to skip startup.nsh or any other key to continue
2.0 shell>

and thats it, nothing happens
if i type in exit i get like a bios setup with select language, boot manager, device manager, boot maint manager
DO i need to change something here to allow the vm image to be loaded?
