Hi Everyone,
I have a problem with my mac and the internet. It is extremely slow and sometimes it just automatically shuts the internet off

I called the internet company, and they told me there were not problems with the connection and it was most likely my computer who automatically shut it off because it thought there were problems. I think there is a truth to it, because it keeps turning off the messenger programme..but when my sister uses the other computer with the same net there is no problem.

So, what can I do to determine this, and get rid of it?? Please help me :)

Looking forward to hearing all you wise advice.

try a different browser
delete all your internet files (cookies, cache etc.)
in 'network' in your system prefs there is 'assist me', may help to diagnose prob.

If you're speaking about a Mac running Mac OS X (and not windows), it just can't be a virus. The reason must be somewhere else.
