As a long time PC user, virus scanners have become a required item.

Now that I own the G4 D1.44, do I need a virus scanner for my Mac?

I have the latest Norton Beta ready to load, but do I need it?

Thanks
Van

Thanks, I will check the thread out.

In my defence, i did do a search in this thread for "virus scanners", did not get any hits.

true - "virus scanners" returns now 1 match, "virus scanner" returns 10 matches and "virus" 290. The MacRumors search is quite strict...

i know what u mean abotu being strict but also if you look in the sftware forum and scrool down just a bit you see these two threads in the most recent thread list. The other bad thing is that with so many people startign threads about this topic they vary the wording just a little making it hard to have a genreic search to find a virus scanner. I gues the only solution is to scratch the surface a little more.
