Apple Vision Pro launches in the U.S. this Friday, and you will be able to try out the headset at your local Apple Store on the same day.

Starting tomorrow at 8 a.m. local time, all Apple Stores in the U.S. will allow customers to receive a Vision Pro demo, which is expected to last around 20 to 25 minutes. From Friday through Sunday, you can only sign up for a demo in person on a first‑come, first‑served basis. Demos on Monday and later can be reserved online.

Given that the Vision Pro starts at $3,499, these free demos will be especially important for customers who want to experience spatial computing without spending a fortune. During the demo, they will learn how to navigate the visionOS operating system, and explore built-in apps such as Apple TV, Photos, and Safari.

Anyone know where to go to set up these appointments?
My understanding is that since it's a first come, first served basis we'll need to sign up in person. Which I'm not all that happy about. Closest Apple Store to me is 90 minutes away. I plan to be there Saturday right at open but I don't want to drive that far to find out I need to stick around for an appointment at 5pm.

I hope they are not like doctor's appointments:

Mr. Vegeta, the DoctorGenius will be right with you

Just can't help envision an updated 1984 commercial, but instead of Apple throwing the hammer that breaks the screen, now there is a hoard of automatons marching in sync while wearing these Apple headsets...
1984, bro. 1984...

First come first serve basis means in store appointments.
I'm picking mine up at 8:30am, and was given a time slot to do so.
I didn't have a choice to just pick it up.
Well, if it sucks I may just return it right away. But I doubt it will be anything less than impressive.
That’s the entire point of the demo isn’t it?

I can't believe it's this confusing this close to launch. I'd have to save for a few months to afford one, so I'd really want to check one out soon. But I also don't want to hang outside an Apple Store all weekend in the hopes of doing so (and I also have to work on Friday!). There really ought to be an online sign-up system. I hope they send one live soon.
