I've got an old Visioneer OneTouch 7600 USB scanner that I would like to get working on my iMac G5. Image Capture says that nothing is connected even when I have the scanner plugged in. Any advice?

Thank you!

When I first went Mac, I had a Visioneer. Upon researching and calling support I was told that they did not support macs and never would. So, sounds like you need a new scanner. Sorry! :(

I've never been able to get my 7600 to work on the Mac either. There were rumors of workarounds, but I haven't found any that worked for me. Not that I looked real hard - perhaps using the driver for another device?

Are you on 10.4.1?

I think you are out of luck. I never got my 8900 to work, so I ended up buying a Canon Lide 35 scanner for arount $45. It's USB2 so it's quicker too.
