Visiting India for a month with an iPhone 5 (Orange)

I'll be visiting India in the coming months for a 4 week training course from the UK & I was wondering whether my Orange iPhone 5 will work with an Indian sim card?

You need to call up Orange (EE) and ask them to unlock your phone. They'll be really difficult about so just keep insisting that you're travelling and want to use a local sim not an international plan
