So I upgraded my PC to vista, and now I can't access any files in it from my Mac.

I have enabled [In Vista]:
Network Discovery
File Sharing
Public folder sharing
Printer sharing
Password protected sharing
Media sharing

Along with widows sharing on my Mac.

No dice. I get the dialog box in the finder asking for my username and password, and it rejects them as invalid. I try to connect using [sample>]:smb://macpcgroup;PC@123.456.7.891, everything worked fine under XP.

Any ideas? Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

It seems that the problem is with 'password protected' sharing, if I uncheck that, I can connect to the vista machine with no problem.

But I want to be able to authenticate myself, since I share my network.

Any ideas? :)

May I ask how you did this? Is that the secpol.msc? If so I did that, but I am still not able to get my mac to connect to my vista machine. Works fine with my XP machine thought.
