ive just installed vista on my penryn MBP was wondering what programs can i get to control the fan speed, i have tried input remapper but it doesnt work very well, fans havent sped up at all and it freezes when i open the config.

any programs to measure the temprature as well?

cheers for the help.

I don't have an answer to your question, but wanted to give you props on the thread title, "Vista Fans," great oxymoron! ;) :p

I thought he actually meant "fans of Vista" as well. I clicked on the thread to see if there were actually some. Even MS's iPhoto wannabe is insanely difficult to do anything with.

I really like Vista.

. . . really.

Seriously. No punchline. I think it's a step in the right direction (minus UAC).

:p

(Seriously though. I do like it)

PS. Yes, really.

speaking of fans/temps, im wondering the opposite having just switched to a mac...what programs or where in the OSX can i find something that tells me temps/fan speeds?

for what its worth i cant answer your vista question though, never cared enough lol

I too have noticed that the fans are much more active with Vista, good question.

my fans stay at 1000 rpm compared the osx where the lowest they go is 2000.
need a way to get them up to about 4000-6000.
thanks
