Greetings.
This is my first post.
I have an odd issue on my Macbook Pro (removable battery.)
First of all, probably my AC conector is fauty - the part inside the computer which connects to the "T" Model AC Power supply, leaving the battery impossible to charge ("connected, but not charging".)
Also, if I take the battery out, it won't turn on simply by plugging the AC Power only. To do so, I need to do that trick holding the power button for 5 seconds - plugging the ac power supply - keep holding the power button for 5 more seconds, and turning it on again. (when fans goes max).
When I do this I can boot to Mac OSx but when I try to boot to Vista
It halts forever on the loading screen. (I let it load for 3 hours and nothing happened)
I tried all options of the Windows boot (safe mode, safe mode with network....)
All of then halts.
The point is:
- If my battery is charged I'm able to boot to Vista or Mac OSx.
- If my battery is charged and I'm also using the AC Power I still able to boot to Vista or Mac OSx but my battery won't charge ("connected, but not charging" The Battery % doesn't decay when on AC)
- If I take the battery out or if it goes 0%, the computer doesn't even turn on...even with the AC power supply plugged.
- If I do that trick holding the power button (fans maxed), etc.. I am able to boot to Mac OSx, but Vista halts forever on loading screen.
In summary, I can't boot to Vista whenever I run out of battery.
Any fixes or workarounds?
Thanks a lot in advance.
P.S.: The Light on the Ac power is always a really light green.
I'm familiar in disasembling my MacBook Pro.
