I was wondering if there's any way or any calendar app that has visual alerts come on on the days you have events set. Kinda like the numbers that come up on the messages icon when you get a text or a new email or whatever. Yea I think that would be pretty good to have for the calendar as well so if anyone knows of anything like this let me know thanks.

Umm, the calendar on the iPhone already does that. I use it all the time to tell me when to leave work, bdays, dr.'s appts, etc.

Maybe an enterprising developer will come up with some kind of push-based app for advanced notifications and such.
Why do you say nope? I get a message and an alert. Maybe not a pretty visual alert, but an alert box all the same.
You cannot get a badge icon on the calendar app like what you described but you can get an alert and sound. Go to the calendar app and make a new event. Make sure you choose an alert in the alert box and that's it.
