Visual difference between Ipad2 and 3

Guy on a website selling and iPad 3 32gig + 4g for 550 which is low imo.

So i<m guessing it's and Ipad2 trying to sell as a 3. HE has 1 white and 1 black.

I am not that good visually to see difference, so i won't be able to tell example oh it's a big smaller for a 3, unless i have a real 3 with me.

So i wanted to know is there a place in the menu i could check to see if it's the new one or the old one?

You should be able to tell from the display. If it's the retina display images will look very sharp.

easiest way to tell out of the box without even turning it on is check the back camera...the lens is bigger on the new ipad. of course, this only works if you have an ipad 2 to compare it to.

Check for dictation in keyboard settings. Problem solved.

The about page in settings will give a model number as well.

As will looking at the back of the iPad, model number is printed on the outside.

If you've used an iPad 2 before you'll surely be able to see the difference in text quality on the new iPad.
