Visual issues / folder question

2 questions please:

1. How do I keep the folder size the same length and width? Sometimes I open a folder, and its made different sizes automatically.

2. The bigger issue I am having is in the attachment. Notice that the refresh icon is near the address bar. I tend to get that sometimes, along with part of the screen getting slanted vertically. Anyone have any ideas what that could be? Or any suggestions?

Anyone have any ideas as to what is causing this problem? It gets rather annoying cause its happening a little more frequently now.

Deactivate your FF theme and see if the problem persists.

It happens with everything; in itunes, iphoto, or even on the desktop, where i would get a line across the screen, then it would dissapear.

I'm no mac hardware expert, but on a windows box this sort of behavior points to video card issues or resource issues.

Are you running a lot of applications in the background when this starts to happen?

Is it a laptop? Is it really hot?

Does watching a video file or something like hulu.com exacerbate the issue?

I agree. That looks like a video card on the way out, but it may be some kind of driver issue so I'd probably try an erase and install of the OS.
Not sure how old your machine is, but if you don't have Applecare you should look into either

1. An expensive repair or
2. A new Mac
