Visual Voicemail and Google Voice?

I've been a google voice user since Android and really like how it works.

I've noticed on my iPhone 5 my voicemails go straight to the Visual Voice even though I have installed Google Voicemail.

How do these 2 work together? What are the differences? I prefer to have Google Voice as default and show up where Visual Voice is under Phone app.

Can't do that. You have to look at your google voice mail in the google voice app.
