Good Morning (afternoon if on the East Coast),

I've had my 5s since launch and have had a persisting issue with my voice mails. I've spent hours on the phone with AT&T and Apple Support....nothing fixed. I'll delete by hand (slide left), with Edit and (Clear All) or Manual removal in the 'Deleted Messages' area. Immediately, the POP right back up as new messages. It's bizarre. I've tried the airplane mode trick. We've reset the voicemail....nothing has worked. I'm having no shut down issues, no crashing, my screen is immaculate, etc...etc.

There's no rhyme or reason. Calls (messages) are from iPhones, Android, land lines...not a specific individual, nothing I can 'repeat'. After a while, it'll work, but it takes a dozen tries....at LEAST! Super Frustrating....and I had updated from the '5' which went to my wife. So she's got that SIM card and hers is operating as it should (no wires crossed when changing numbers @ AT&T).

Any other ideas? Or is it time to meet a genius?

Try having AT&T remove VVM for 24 hours and they call and have them turn it back on. A friend was having problems with his and this fixed it!

Didn't work....thanks though Lucille,
Never ceases to amaze me...I actually had a 'frayed' rMBP power cord from my 2012 model (w/AppleCare)....set up an appt yesterday having a slow day, good day to take care of it.
Just so happens after owning every iPhone iteration, and either selling, passing down or a couple of oversea donations to the troops....I've NEVER scratched my display. Kept box, cables, everything....and the phone in immaculate condition. Just anal that way....last weekend, we had a massive holiday party we hosted. As I'm up playing air guitar and dancing on the stage to the music---I had my 5s in my pocket with about a dozen coins. Dumb DUMBass Move of the year. Completely scratched, the entire center with tiny little....almost like someone keyed your car, hairline scratches and immediately obvious when looking at it...

...Point being....went to Apple store, took a look @ my cord, replaced it immediately, showed him my phone and told him my issues with AT&T and voicemail as well as the dual call between carrier and Apple. Nothing has worked. He popped the SIM, put it in a 5c, worked perfectly....went to the back, opened a brand new iPhone for me and activated it on the spot, made sure voicemail was working correctly, out the door in less than 25 minutes. I was honestly Shocked!

Apple TRULY has magnificent support....Really, REALLY refreshing in this day n age of truly crappy customer service, 800 numbers and the vicious circle caught up in support with major corporations.
