I am in UK and have an approved O2 iphone on an O2 iphone contrac.

I like it very much, but I also have a windows mobile phone which I need to use occasionally.

When I put my O2 chip in the WM phone it works fine but there is no voicemail.

I know that visual voicemail sends a file to the iphone with a record of the voice mail. Does anyone know how this works and whether there is any WM software that can emulate an iphone or VV so that I can see it ?

many thx

Wirelessly posted (iPhone: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU like Mac OS X; en) AppleWebKit/420.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.0 Mobile/4A93 Safari/419.3)

don't think it will work on anything except the iPhone. Incidentally, using the iPhone sim in another phone is against O2's terms of service so I wouldn't do it too often in case O2 take exception.

ah. I missed that.
saying that, the chip works fine in my 3G phone and as I bought by iphone separately (as did us all) not sure how they can enforce this in court!

they could cut me off, fine, I can get £200 for the iphone 2nd hand.

There's probably not enough people who would still use WM after using the iPhone to bother reverse engineering the VVM protocol!

hmmm
the iphone is great for an everyday phone & email.
but its not really a PDA with anything like the functionality of WM.

anyway, this is not a WM vs iphone debate.
vvm on both would be great for me!
