visualizer for concert

I am a band director in Iowa. What I want to be able to do is put some mics in front of my concert band and have the sound run through my mac, through the visualizer in iTunes and up on a huge screen so the crazy stuff is reacting to the music we are playing (like it does when you play music on your computer). Is there a way to do this or is there a program that makes doing this easier? I think that this could be something really cool if I can get it to work.

i love g-force. it's my favourite visualization.

but is it possible to let it run with live sound? i thought it's only possible to let it run with itunes or other audio-players...

tangent23 is right. you can use g-force to visualize any line-in source.
