Neat site but I just tracked mine and it seems as if it went to Indianapolis but went back to Alaska today hmm.
The map actually has a big triangle going from china to alaska to indiana back to alaska too.

Well I checked it today and it is now in Memphis, TN. I don't think it ever went back to Alaska but maybe the timezones and updates were a little off. Every thing's good now

Sorry about your loss, but I think the tracking app they were talking about was to track UPS deliveries, not lost ipods. I've heard there are apps (probably for jailbroken iphones/ipods) that report back an ipod's location, but you'd have to have installed them before you lost your ipod.
