I am trying to burn a DVD that I legally own into an iTunes compatible format and for whatever reason my normal work flow (haven't used it for about a year) is now not working.

Both handbrake and VLC are running 64bit and it will not let me copy the DVD in handbrake.

Help

I suggest using a dedicated tool for the ripping process, like MakeMKV or Ripit. Then use Handbrake to convert that file.

VLC 2.0 no longer supplies the required libraries needed for decryption. Have you manually added them using the links form the Handbrake Forum? But I do agree with Xe89 about using a dedicated ripper. Just fewer problems in the long run and able to do BRs.

Thanks both of you :)

Yup, I have manually installed the package and it doesn't seem to be working. I'm probably doing something wrong

I have installed MakeMKV and that is working well.
