I have a PowerBook G4 15 inch. It's 7 years old this year and starting to show its age. I use it a lot for connecting to my TV and watching videos. I'd like to rip all of my DVDs to MKV files and have them available on the MacBook Air. I tried playing an MKV file on my PowerBook and it didn't play well at all. It was very jumpy and unwatchable. Should the MacBook Air be able to play these well via VLC Player?

Thanks...

As long as you update to the most recent VLC, you should have no problems playing mkv files on your MBA. I've done it with no problems!

I see. Thanks very much!
