I downloaded the VLC app while it was still available on the app store. Now that it's pulled, if I start my iPhone as new and don't restore will I still be able to get the VLC app back? Or are pulled apps accessible only through restore?

They pulled VLC? That's too bad. Anyways, you should be able to install it without a restore, I have a bunch of pulled apps that I used to sync to my ipod touch.

You can copy it to iTunes then just transfer it back.

In iTunes right click your phone from the left side menu.mThen select transfer purchases.

just remember it would be updated for 4 inch screen
you wont get "full screen"

I had the VLC app too, nothing special IMO. I'm sure there are other media players with the same capabilities in the app store now that will actually get upgraded to fit the new screen.

thanks fellas! I'll probably just buy an app that has the same functionality given it'll never get updated again..
