Hello Folks,

I'm having an odd problem with playing media (video or music) via a new NAS i purchased.

So when i try to watch either type of media over the network with VLC, music wont play at all, some videos will load, play a few seconds then stop.

I've downloaded MPlayerX, plays video no problem.
Tried Quicktime for Audio, plays no problem.
So its not a network issue, and not a PC issue, more or less a VLC issue.

I can't figure out how to change any type of buffer on this program, Anyone have any ideas?

I found an old post on their forums, but it was from 2008 and the settings didn't exist in the new version im using which is 2.0.8.

If no one knows of a fix, can someone suggest a music playing program, that i can use over the network, other then quick time? I've tried WinAmp, its still full of bugs and doesn't work the greatest.

iTunes copies the files over the network and stores them locally, plus i only keep what i sync to my iphone on my itunes library. so its not really an option.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,

anyone?

i've found that MPlayerX plays videos somewhat decent.

I tried vox for audio, and its..ok..any other suggestions?
