i just got my mini dvi to vga today and was lookn on the forums how i would beable to make the external monitor go fullscreen without making my laptop monitor turn black,of course lookn at threads etc i really didnt fine anything except someone suggesting using scripts and messn about in system folders.

so i was just havn a look and in vlc pref under video, uncheck the black screen in fullscreen mode, check full screen instead, then save.

while vlc is on ur external monitor go to ur laptop screen and under vlc go to video>fullscreen device and select ur monitor, should be number 2.

now ur external monitor should be fullscreen and ur laptop screen should still be on and able to surf while ur watchn movies fullscreen.

so if you wanted ur laptop screen to go black while you were watchn movies then you wouldnt do anything lol.
