VM Fusion not running well

Since installing Fusion on my Mac Book, I've noticed things don't run as quickly as they used to, and when I'm running Windows apps (XP home edition), it can be extremely slow (no games). Any thoughts as to how I might make things run better. Thanks.

More RAM is the answer to your problems...3D games won't run well/at all on Fusion...
