So I have a company Macbook Air. And due to support requirements I needed to have a windows instsance just in case.

I loaded VMFusion 5.0.3 with Windows 7 Professional.

The initial load of the VM was between 17-20gb in size.
I simply ran CCleaner on the PC and right away it doubled to 50gb in size

Since then i've been forced to copy the image to a external HDD due to space restrictions.

I've run disk defray in windows.
I've run the shrink command using vm tools

When i try to clean up disk in VMfusion the option is not loaded.

In Windows its showing only using 18gb of space...

how in the world can i reduce the size of this thing please help someone :-(

Are you using the AutoProtect feature for that vm? If so, turn it off because it seems to be creating quite a lot of snapshots and those take up disk space.
