Chaps,

I have a vm (linux) with a usb wifi card connected to it. The vm guest has an uplink to the net. Can i route my osx traffic host through the vmnet1 interface?

ipforwarding is turned on within the guest lniuc machine.

I can ping the guest but when i try 'route add default gw 192.168.253.130' (this is ip of nix machine) it says interface not configured.

This is because the vmnet interfaces don't actually relate to real interfaces so osx doesnt think they're configured. I'm thinking i could set up the guest to run DHCP and push out gw+dns but this seems like a fudge and not a fix.

Any help from some vmware fusion guru's would be greatly appreciated.

(Long story short, the USB wifi adapter is not compatible with osx. The usb adapter has a directional antenna and can reach the AP. Can use web fine in vm guest but want to allow osx to route through the guest as well)

Cheers guys
